Richmond, Virginia 1976. A young married couple, Norma andArthur receives a small wooden box with a red button that appearsto be a gentleman by the name of Steward. They will have twenty-four hours to decide whether to press the button or not. If pressed,they said Steward, a person who does not know will die, but will receive one million dollars, if you do not press return the box andnothing happens. The couple after lengthy discussions press thebutton. The two receiving the money as promised, but their life is invaded by threats and disturbing presences. Steward is notactually human, but a higher being entered into the body of trueSteward, who died after being struck by lightning during thetransmission of data from the Viking spacecraft. Being isconducting an experiment on the human race to test his ability togive up their selfish desires for the common good of the species ifhumans continue to press the "employers" of Steward will be forced to speed up 'human extinction.
